“Soggy Bottom” was the name awarded to the event which was held last Monday at Newnham, Nr Plymouth. This was the last of a series of 3 cyclo cross events. It stood up well to its name!! Jon Locke (see The Locke report on the link just to the right) took overall honours in the Expert class with our own Simon Aske promoted now to the Master Class took a well deserved 4th. Simon didn’t as he had done the previous year live up to the name of the event by abandoning in the middle of the stream!! Good for Jon Locke who won convincingly his class. It must have seemed just a “warm up” to him!! Roll up for the big day starting at the Manchester Velodrome today (Friday) for the World Cup. All the Brits who so ably represented us in the Olympics will be there and wanting to get their hands on yet more medals!! (I'm sure they will!!) Eurosport is as usual doing there excellent coverage. For the complete listings check the link just to the right. That’s about it for this week, Bob.
