The ChurchInTouch website contains an extensive heirarchical directory of news articles of interest to church leaders, ministers and the large number of other UK church members. Organisations can register free of charge and submit their news articles to the website. A free weekly newsletter is sent to subscribers to enable them to keep up to date with all the latest initiatives, products and events. The website's search facility enables easy retrieval of information through the simultaneous searching of news articles, organisational details and news categories.The ChurchInTouch website is the first developed by adnet Solutions using Microsoft's .NET Framework. The .NET Framework contains a number of improvements over traditional ASP technology, including greater website performance and stability, enhanced developer productivity and support for emerging technologies such as web services. The site was written in ASP.NET using the C# programming language. The site's data is stored in a SQL Server database.
